To have an impact, we like to personally get in the trenches and create change ourselves. With our Refill. Return. Reward. program we’ve saved over 3000 plastic pumps from going to landfills. We keep our carbon emissions low by partnering with farms and suppliers close to home, keeping the weight of our shipments low by not including excess or unnecessary inserts or outer packaging, and doing over 70% of our manufacturing, bottling and shipping processes by hand.

Our Refill. Return. Reward. program allows us to upcycle and reuse our glass packaging numerous times, preventing the high carbon output of frequent manufacture, shipping & recycling. Yes! Recycling creates further carbon emissions. Even the manufacture of biodegradable refill packaging creates carbon emissions. We’ve created a circular economy by accepting your empty bottles & jars and reusing them indefinitely.

ethically sourced botanics
We prefer results-centered, sustainable ingredients rather than playing into the latest skin care trends, or overusing or abusing exotic or endangered plant species. And we do not use sustainability as an excuse to replace botanicals with synthetics. While we do include certain lab-synthesized ingredients in our formulas, we use them consciously in supplement to our potent botanical base. If the sustainability of any of our botanicals comes into question, we find a way to stay truly organic by seeking alternative sources, or alternative botanicals, in order to help preserve precious resources. And we continue to discover and implement better and better ways to give back more than we consume.
